Q. What is the Wilhelmina Hot Body Model Search presented by Shape and Men’s Fitness?

A. Wilhelmina Models is partnering with Shape and Men's Fitness to discover the next hot body! Wilhelmina Models represents a wide range of talent including top fashion models and celebrities, professional athletes, fitness models, Olympians, personal trainers, yoga instructors, and fitness enthusiasts—people just like you!

Enter for your chance to win a modeling contract with Wilhelmina Models and additional prizes from participating sponsors. There are 3 ways to enter; online, in the mail, or in person!

Q. How many finalists are selected?

A. We judge all eligible entries and select ten (10) Finalists to receive a three-day trip to New York City in February 2010. The ten (10) Finalists then compete for the chance to win guaranteed modeling contracts and an editorial appearance in Shape and Men's Fitness magazines.

Q. What should I do if I have a problem entering online?

A. Please email modelsearch@wilhelmina.com if you have difficulty uploading an image or entering the model search.

Q. What are the requirements?

A. The contest is open to men and women who are legal residents of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia (void where prohibited) and 18 years of age or older as of November 17, 2009. There are no height or size requirements for this contest. There is a $20.00 non-refundable processing fee.

Q. What is the deadline?

A. The contest launched on August 17, 2009 on wilhelminamodelsearch.com, as well as in the September 2009 issues of Shape and Men's Fitness. The contest ends November 30, 2009. Mail entries must be postmarked on or before November 30, 2009 and received by December 3rd, 2009. Online entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. on November 30, 2009. In person entries at Open Call locations must be received by the times designated in the Official Rules.

Q. What type of photo should I submit? Can I enter more than once?

A. The photo should depict entrant's appearance and personality, including photogenic quality and vitality. When submitting your entry in the mail please submit a photo, which may be a snapshot, Polaroid, or digital, in color, no smaller than 3" x 4" and no larger than 8" x 10". No slides, transparencies, or photocopies are permitted. Legibly print name of the entrant on the back of the photograph. Entries and photos become property of Wilhelmina Models and will not be returned. Entry forms may be photocopied and entrants may enter as often as they like, however, a separate entry form, photograph and processing fee is required for each entry. You are allowed to submit only one photo per entry.

Q. What are you looking for in the entrants?

A. We are looking for fit, confident, vibrant, photogenic men and women who are interested in the modeling business. There is no set formula regarding hair or skin color. We select the men and women we think are the strongest candidates from the photo submittals.

Q. What is an Open Call event?

A. The road to becoming a Finalist in the Wilhelmina Hot Body Model Search presented by Shape and Men’s Fitness often begins at Open Calls, which will be held this year in New York, Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania, Utah, Ohio, and Virginia. At each Open Call, men and women over the age of 18 have the opportunity to enter the contest in person by filling out an application, submitting a current photo, and paying a $20 processing fee. If you don't bring a photo, have one taken on-site at no charge by a Wilhelmina agent. Open Call participants also have the opportunity to meet Wilhelmina agents, Shape and Men's Fitness representatives, and Wilhelmina models.

Q. Is there an advantage to entering in person at an Open Call event?

A. No. All entries stand an equal chance regardless of whether they are submitted by mail, online, or at an Open Call. Men and Women who attend an Open Call event, are able to meet Shape and Men's Fitness representatives, Wilhelmina agents, Wilhelmina models, and enjoy sponsor products and consultations, as well as take home fabulous promotional items.
